A public hearing was held by the Judiciary Committee on 2/15. Included among the bills in this hearing was CB 6703. CB 6703 is proposing changes to the so called trespass statute. The CALS BOD and membership provided a significant response opposing the proposed changes, via written testimony and direct conversations with representatives. To date the only testimony in favor of the changes came from the representative who introduced the bill. I would like to thank all of you who took the time to contact legislators, expressing your opposition to these changes. We have taken a solid first step in protecting our statutory right to trespass while preparing the duties of a professional land survey. Reynolds Strategy Group (RSG) will continue to monitor the status of CB 6703 on our behalf.
